Vladimir Gabriel Foonberg was born to Jewish parents in the City of Kiev, then in Soviet Ukraine, The Foonbergs immigrated to São Paulo, Brazil, under refugee status, where he spent his adolescence and teenage years before moving to Los Angeles, California, where he worked as Foreign Credentials Analyst and freelance translator, which professions he pursued after moving to Seattle, Washington, for a number of years, finally settling in San Francisco. Vladimir holds the Bachelor of Arts in English with the Option in Writing, from California State University at Northridge, and he earned the Postgraduate Certificate in Paralegal Studies from the University of Washington School of Law, in 2009. His paralegal experience includes family law, insurance defense, personal injury, probate, contracts and general counsel in international manufacture and import practices. He lives in the melting pot of Mission District with his wife Yesenia, an employment law paralegal, and Donut, their pedigree Chihuahua. Vladimir spends his leisure time, pursuing his interests in world literature, music and film. In addition to his working knowledge of a variety of languages, he is fluent in Russian, Portugese, Spanish and English.
