Samantha Phelan was born and raised in River Forest, IL. She graduated from the University of San Francisco as valedictorian of her class in 2019, obtaining her B.A. in Communication Studies. Samantha was inspired by her university's dedication to justice and social change, a topic that permeated many of her courses. She graduated summa cum laude and was a member of various honor societies. At USF, Samantha was selected as a scholar for The Davies Forum, a program established to enhance the University's efforts to produce leaders dedicated to public service and ethical leadership. This position allowed her to critically examine how we are being called to enact public service and ethical leadership in the 21st century.
Samantha's interest in immigration law began at the San Francisco Day Labor Program and Women's Collective where she coached a member of the Women's Collective (La Colectiva) in skills such as computer use, typing, and English practice. Samantha is thrilled to be working at The Law Office of Robert Jobe, and hopes she can make a difference in the lives of many U.S. immigrants.
