Marco Giovanni Lerma was born and raised in Dallas, Texas to immigrant parents from Guanajuato, Mexico. Marco completed his undergraduate education at Santa Clara University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Prior to law school, Marco worked as a legal assistant for an immigration law firm in Dallas, where he helped defend clients in removal and deportation proceedings. While at Santa Clara University Law School, Marco shifted his focus to Intellectual property and Business Law. He studied Comparative European Intellectual Property and International Law in Munich, Germany for a summer while interning at a law firm that specialized in biotech patents. Subsequently, Marco worked as a patent intern at Samsung Research America in Mountain View, California. He received a J.D. with an emphasis in high tech law, from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2016. After graduating from law school, Marco worked as a law clerk at a plaintiffs' side mass tort litigation firm in San Francisco.
At the Law Office of Robert B. Jobe he represent clients involved in difficult asylum and deportation proceedings. Eventually, Marco hopes to merge his passions to assist business owners from underserved communities access affordable legal services.
During his spare time, Marco enjoys running, playing basketball and going on hikes. He is fluent in Spanish and a member of the California State Bar.
