Jezz was born in the small town of Caicó, in state of Rio Grande do Norte in far northeastern Brazil and has an undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte. He immigrated to the United States on a scholarship to pursue his master's degree at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts. In the U.S., Jezz met and married his husband and worked in the tech industry for ten years.
While in school, Jezz published multiple articles about the socioeconomic and political disparities in the tech and video game fields. Always an avid participant in his community, Jezz left the tech industry to take action on the fight for a more egalitarian and fair society. He proudly joined the Law Office of Robert B. Jobe as a Legal Assistant and interpreter, with focusing on asylum cases. Jezz has a deep connection with individuals from all walks of life seeking to immigrate for a brighter future or to seek protection from persecution and violence.
Outside of work, Jezz spends his time as an LGBTQ+ activist and independent interactive media and video game designer, fields which he believes can cause deep positive changes in society.
