Janira graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2017, where she double majored in Social Welfare and Sociology, and acquired a minor in Global Poverty and Practice. She was born in Peru and immigrated to the United States in 2007.
At UC Berkeley Janira was involved with community education as tool for systemic change. She interned with Justice Corps, where she provided personal assistance to litigants with the completion of their court paperwork on small claims, evictions, divorce, child custody and restraining orders. Janira also interned in the East Bay Sanctuary Covenant working with youth on their Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) applications and Naturalization.
Immigration has had a significant role in Janira's life and has helped shape her identity and commitment to give back to her community. Janira is very passionate about immigration law and is eager to help clients navigate complex issues through The Law Offices of Robert B. Jobe.
